  • bubbles in carx

ok, so I am now using a Cole Parmer to pull water through my carx to have a better and more even drip rate. The problem I am having now is I'm getting tons of microbubbles in my reactor. I'm pulling water from a quiet area of the sump and pulling it with the pump. nothing else has changed with the setup. What could be the cause of all the microbubbles? What would be the best way to eradicate them?

Your bubble count might be too high. It might be gas and not air in there. Kill the recirc pump, open the effluent all the way and let it run for a while to purge the air. Turn on the recirc pump for a bit to get the rest of the trapped air/gas moving. Wait a bit the reset the effluent drop rate.

I thought that might be the case too but i turned off my co2 completely and flushed it all out and the next morning the bubbles came back

The it's gotta be coming from the new pump, right?

the pump is on the effluent side of the reactor so it doesn't make sense that it would be

Weird. I'm out of ideas without seeing it in person.
