  • Help with light bulbs

I finally got around to doing my plumbing and sump. I found my old light. It has 2 - 150w halides and 2 - 96w compacts. I'd like to keep the light but what bulbs would be best if all I'm going to have is soft corals? I'd like to have a blue tint if I can.

      Yes they're double ended. It's a Coralife - 48" Aqualight Pro 2X 150w HQI/2x96W

Mega chrome blue 2100 k by geisman should be pretty blue. Probably blue enough that with softies could skip the pc's

I haven't personally used them though.

Two of 2100 k will be good enough for the softies and growth? Would it hurt to add the pc?

for softies I think it should be plenty. no harm in doing the pc's as well. Might add to the " pop" of colors with atinics.

What do you think I should do for the pc's?

IMO I'd go white actinic. Unless you want a really blue look.
