    I figured it was stuck on. Outlet 4 and 8 are actually mechanical relays and are meant for low draw items but your lights in here are fine.

    A 400w halide is a pretty big draw on its own. If you have other big power consumers like heaters or return pumps, you might want to spread them out to another EB8.

      I was on Neptunes guide to set up and it states 4 and 8 "a mechanical relay (10A max) are outlets 4 and 8. It is typically best to plug in devices under 20w and between 300w and 800w into these outlets like your dosing pump or 400watt ballast."

      that is the only big big draw I run on the EB8. Heater never turns on and return pump is plugged into industrial surge protector.

      But yes, it's stuck on now and so I will plug something in that stays on all the time.
